Student Visa UK, Requirements for Study in UK: Application Form, Process Procedure for Study in UK Visa
A student requires a Tier 4 visa, with which the following are applicable:-
- For full-time study (usually at least 15 hours per week of classes)
- If the study is for a qualification which is lower than a university degree, the maximum visa length is 3 years
- If the study is for a university degree or higher qualification, the maximum visa length is 4 years>
- If you have this type of visa you can work part-time during term and full-time during your school's official holidays
- You may be able to switch into a Tier 1 (highly skilled) or Tier 2 (skilled worker) visa at the end of your studies
Visa application process:-
The application process requires the following:
- A complete application form.
- A valid passport and various original documents (official translations may be required if these are not written in English)
- A student has to give their biometrics (a face image and a scan of fingerprints) and have an identity card issued
- Then a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the school where study has been completed is required.
- Then payment of student visa application fee has to be done.

Eligibility:-
English language proficiency is very important for a student to study in UK. If English is not a student's first language, they will be required to successfully complete one of the following:
- An English preparatory program
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
- English language GCSE (grade C or above)
If a student's first language is not English, most institutions will ask for a qualification in English, or they may ask a student to sit a test. Each course has minimum entry requirements. Colleges and universities will look at an applicant's qualifications to see if they meet those standards, but they will also be looking at their overall suitability for the course.
The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is the entrance test to be taken by the students applying for a master degree in any field other than management (most universities in the UK do not ask for a GRE score). All applicants applying for a master in management or Business Administration major must submit the result of Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). In addition to these tests, all students whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) or the IELTS.
Application Process:-
A body called UCAS handles applications of international students for admissions to UK colleges or universities. They need to have the eligibility criteria fulfilled and then the paper work begins. Students can apply directly or through agents as well.

At most universities in England, students from UK and European Union pay up to £ 3,000 a year for tuition. International students can expect to pay somewhere between £6,500 and £ 13,000 a year, depending on whether a program is classroom or laboratory based Tuition fees will be the biggest expense a student has to pay whilst studying in the UK. One year of tuition fees, accommodation and living costs (estimated at £7,200 per annum for London and £5,400 per annum for other areas of the UK). There are additional costs a student's needs to consider whilst making a budget for their study stay there like social life expenses, private healthcare insurance, etc…
In order to obtain visa students must be able to prove that they (or their parents) have the funds to pay the full tuition fees for the duration of their course. Fees for international students vary greatly between institutions and depending on the country of origin of the student. Students from the European Union pay the same fees as native UK students, which for the academic year 2009/2010 is up to £3,225 (as stated by Direct Gov).
