Amrita University will conduct Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE 2021) in online mode with Remote Proctoring & in Computer Based Test mode at selected cities. The test will be of 90 minutes duration with 60 questions.

Admission to B.Tech programmes offered at Amrita Schools of Engineering - Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai is on the basis of one of the following:

  • Rank scored in Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering 2021 or
  • Rank scored in JEE Mains 2021
  • SAT
  • Pearson UG Entrance Examination Score (PUEE)

AEEE 2021 - Important Dates

  • First phase of AEEE will be conducted on 17th & 18th April, 2021 ((RPE (Secured))
  • Second phase is scheduled on 11th to 14th June, 2021 (CBT & RPE)
  • Third phase will be by end of June / beginning of July 2021
  • Applicants interested to reappear in the Second / Third Phase of AEEE exam need to register with paying INR 600.00

Question Distribution & Duration

  • All the questions are of Multiple-Choice type and will have four answers of equal weightage. 3(three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and minus 1(negative 1) for each wrong answer.
  • Total questions: 60
  • Physics: 15, Chemistry: 10, Mathematics: 30, English: 5
  • Duration: 90 minutes (1.5 hours)

AEEE Eligibility Criteria 2020

A pass in 12th class or equivalent from a recognised board with not less than 55% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics separately and an aggregate minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics Candidates seeking admission shall be born on or after 1st, July 2000.

Candidates seeking admission with Pearson UG Entrance Examination score alone shall have an aggregate minimum of 75% in PCM with not less than 75% in Mathematics.

Admission Process:

Selection to the B.Tech programme is based on the rank scored in AEEE 2021 / JEE Mains 2021 / SAT Score/ PUEE Score. If JEE Mains is conducted multiple times, all the scores released prior to the?Amrita B.Tech. CSAP (Centralised Seat Allotment Process) will be looked into and the best result considered.

Important Note: An applicant can participate in CSAP with any of the above rank/score. Most preferred branch opted by the candidate is allotted according to the rank / score. For example, if an applicant's first preference is Computer & Communication Engineering at Chennai campus, the seat allotment process will check if this first preference can be allotted with any of the PUEE Score /JEE Mains score/AEEE rank.

Are the multiple sessions at AEEE 2021 useful?

  • This will give multiple opportunities to the candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they fail to give their best in one attempt.
  • In the first attempt, the students will get a firsthand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the next time.
  • This will reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year.
  • If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as Board examination), then he/she will not have to wait.
  • A candidate need not appear in all three Sessions. However, if the candidate appears in more than one Session then his/her best of the 2021 AEEE Scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.

Remote Proctored Examination (Secured)

Remote Proctored Examination can be attended from home on a laptop/PC with good internet connectivity. It is important to have a webcam connected to the computer. The examination will be proctored remotely by the university staff.

Centre Based Test (CBT)

Centre Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted only in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Telangana states. University will take all precautionary measures to ensure social distancing at examination centres and will have a proper disinfection system in place.

AEEE 2021 Timings

09:30 - 11:00 AM, 12:30 - 02:00 PM; 03:30 - 05:00 PM (slot bookings will be opened in advance before the first phase of examination)

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) comprises of two papers. The Paper1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments, as well as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Candidates of UPSEE (2021) will take JEE (Main) 2021. The Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country. From this year, Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow will also use the score sheet of JEE (Main) - 2021 for admission to the B.Tech / M.Tech (Integrated)/B.Arch. Courses in its affiliated colleges across the State.

The JEE (Main) 2021 will be conducted in multiple sessions for admissions in the next academic session. The candidates will thus benefit in the following ways:

[Note: (i) A candidate has option to apply for one Session or more than one Session (February/March /April /May2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. In other words, if a candidate wishes to apply only for one Session, he/ she has to pay Examination Fee only for that Session during the current application period and will have opportunityto apply again for the remaining March/ April / May Sessions.

The application window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result of February / March/April Session.Examination for the May session will be the last Examination for coming academic year. Fees can also be carriedforward to another Session of JEE (Main) 2021.

Incase a candidate does not want to appear in the Session for which fee has already been paid, it will be refunded by NTA. For this, the Candidate will have to make a request only during the application process of the sessionfor which he/she wants to withdraw.

Multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate for the same Session(s) will not be accepted at any cost.

(ii) The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI or Paytm Services.Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator. (iii) Candidates who apply for more than one Session of examination (February/March/April/May), may change theirChoice of Cities in the correction window, which will be opened in due course under intimation to them throughPublic Notice for each Session.

(iv) The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the Candidate. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee, then the candidate may have to approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway (in the helpline no. and email given in Appendix-IV of theInformation Bulletin) for ensuring the successful payment or for obtaining the refund of duplicate / multiplepayments].

2. Candidates must read carefully the Instructions (including how to fill up Application Form online)given in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA Website. Candidates not complying withthe Instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

3. Candidates can apply for JEE (Main) 2021 through "Online" mode only. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.

4. Submission of Application Form could be made by the candidate online through NTA website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in

5. Instructions for filling Online Application Form: Download Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form. Read these carefully to ensure your eligibility.

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

  • Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using own Email Id and Mobile No.
  • Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application Number.
  • Step-3: Upload scanned images of: (i) the recent photograph (file size 10Kb - 200Kb) shouldbe either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible includingears against white background; (ii) candidate's signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb); (iii)duly verified result awaited attestation form (file size: 50kb to 500kb), (iv) categorycertificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.) (file size: 50kb to 300KB), (v) PwD certificate (filesize: 50kb to 300kb) in jpg/jpeg format.
  • Step-4: Pay fee using SBI/Canara Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI and keep proof of fee paid.

Download, save and print a copy of Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which would be downloadable only after successful remittance of fee) for future reference.

All the 4 Steps can be done together or at separate timings. The submission of Application of a candidate could be considered as successful and his/her candidature would be confirmedonly on the successful transaction/receipt of the prescribed application fee from him/her.

6. Candidates shall ensure that the information entered by them in their respective online Application Form are correct.

7. Information provided by the candidates in their respective online Application Forms, like, name ofcandidate, contact/ address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification details, dateof birth, choice of exam cities, etc. will be treated as final. Any request for change in suchparticulars after the closure of correction period will not be considered by NTA under anycircumstances.

8. NTA does not edit /modify/alter any information entered by the candidates after completion ofapplication process under any circumstances. Any request for change in information there after will not be entertained. Therefore, candidates are advised to exercise utmost caution before filling up correct details in the Application Form.

9. NTA disclaims any liability that may arise to a candidate(s) due to incorrect information provided by him/her in his/her online Application Form.

10. Candidates must ensure that their email address and mobile number to be registered in their online Application Form are their own, as relevant/important information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address and / or through SMS on registered number only. NTA shall not be responsible for any non-communication / miscommunication with a candidate in the email address or mobile number given by him/her other than his/her own.

11. Candidates are advised to visit the NTA Website and check their e-mails regularly for latest updates.

12. Candidates shall appear at their own cost at the Examination Centre on the date, shift and time indicated on their Admit Cards issued by the NTA in due course through its Website.

Note:

  • The final submission of Online Application Form will remain incomplete if Step-3 and step-4 are not complete. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.
  • The entire application process for JEE (Main) 2021 is online, including uploading of scanned images, payment of fees, and printing of Confirmation Page, Admit Card, etc. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post / Fax / WhatsApp / Email / by Hand.
  • Usage of Data and Information: NTA/Government of India can use the data provided by the End Users (test taker in this case) for internal purpose(s) including training, research and development, analysis and other permissible purpose(s). However, this information is not for use by any third party or private agency for any other use.

Brief Advisory regarding COVID-19 Pandemic:

Candidates are advised to carry only the following with them into the examination venue:

a) Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
b) A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
c) Additional photograph, to be pasted on attendance sheet
d) Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
e) Personal transparent water bottle
f) Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic

Note:

Candidate shall ensure that the information (like, his/her name. mother's name, father's name, gender, date of birth, category, PWD status, mobile number, email address, photograph and signature, choice of cities for exam centre, etc.) provided by them in their online Application Form are correct and of their own. Candidates are advised to exercise utmost care for filling up correct details in the Application Form. Any request for change in the particulars after the closure of correction period will not be considered by NTA under any circumstances. Corrections sent by the candidate through Post/ Fax/WhatsApp/Email/by Hand will not be entertained by NTA.

. In case it is found at any time in future that the Candidate has used / uploaded the photograph, signature and certificate(s) of someone else in his/ her Application Form / Admit Card or he/she has tampered his/her Admit Card / result, these acts of the candidate shall be treated as Unfair Means (UFM) Practices on his/her part and he/she shall be proceeded with the actions as contemplated under the provisions of the Information Bulletin relating to Unfair Means Practices.

Candidates are NOT allowed to carry Instruments, Geometry or Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room.

Important Note for Multiple Choice Questions

To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if after the process of challenges of the key, more than one option is found to be correct then the multiple correct options will be given four marks (+4). Any incorrect option marked will be given the minus one mark (-1). Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no marks.

VITEEE is a common entrance exam for VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP and VIT-Bhopal. The exam tests Maths/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English & Aptitude. The test consists of 125 multiple choice questions to be answered in two and half hours. Selection is based on the ranks through offline counselling process at VIT Campuses. Eligible candidates may select specific Programme / Campus during counselling. Details are given in specific menus displayed under.

Age Limit:

  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1999 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2021. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing for which they will be disqualified.

Qualifying Examination:

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2021 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2021, in any one of the following qualifying examinations :

  • The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for
  • Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.
  • Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • As per VIT Norms, Regular 'NIOS' board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.

Eligibility Criteria For The Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2021 should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
  • The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be minimum aggregate of 50% for the following categories:
    • Candidates belonging to SC/ST
    • Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

Conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, BITSAT is a computer based test (CBT) conducted annually for admission to Integrated First degree programmes like BE, Pharma and MSc programmes offered by BITS campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. BITSAT 2021 will tentatively be held in the third/fourth week of May, 2021.

BITSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • For admission to all the above programmes except B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
  • For admission to B. Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.

Admissions to all the programmes are subject to the conditions given below:

The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.

Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2021 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2021 test. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2019 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT2021. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2021.

Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2021. However, their eligibility for admission is subject.

BITSAT 2021 Exam Pattern

BITSAT-2021 Test Format: BITSAT-2021 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break). The test consists of four parts:

Part I : Physics
Part II : Chemistry
Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning

Mathematics or Biology (For B. Pharm candidates)

All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark)

There is no time limit for individual parts of the test. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 150 questions. If a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology only; four questions from each part. Further, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he/she cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 150 questions.

Syllabus:

The BITSAT-2021 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. The detailed syllabus is given in the Annexure. Candidates may refer to the NCERT textbooks for the contents. A sample test demonstrating the features of BITSAT-2021 will be made available to the registered candidates at the BITS admission website on which he/she can practice as many times as desired.

Test Centers for BITSAT-2021:

In order to facilitate a large number of students all over India to participate in BITSAT-2021, apart from Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses of BITS where it is expected that a large number of students will take the test, the Institute is also planning to offer the tests at dedicated test centers in several other cities. SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) is conducted by SRM University. This entrance exam is for admission in their B.Tech programmes offered in SRM IST Chennai, SRM University - Sonepat, Haryana SRM University - Andhra Pradesh. NRI/PIO/OCI candidates are also eligible to apply for SRMJEEE 2021
